TIME IS TICKING DOWN MY 2ND MEETING WITH DR. KOSLYN

1/28/13 Ok so today finally came and went. I meet with Dr. Koslyn my oral surgeon. So my appt was at 3:30pm I left work @ 3:15 little did I know that was not enough time. I was speeding down HWY/459 to my exit and I got there right @ 3:39 and do you think they got to me right away nope lol they saw me like 10min later but its all good right??I was out @ 4:30pm and back home took cook dinner in know time. So I got there they took my xrays and stuff, then I got in chair so that they could do my impressions and boy did that suck. They did like 3 of the top and bottom. They put this clay gummy stuff on a mouth piece and you have to bite down really hard and it was cold and it taste like old spoiled COLGATE TOOTHPASTE YUCK. So after they check with the Dr to make sure that it is good enough for him then they clean my mouth and they gave me some mouth wash and I rinse and I wait for my dr to come in and do his part. Dr. Koslyn comes in and he sticks this wax in my mouth and tells me to bite down on it really hard and leaves me there and then he comes bk what a yucky taste too. So next he takes my measurements with this funny thing that he tells me to stick in my ears the he places the other part on my nose and boy did they kind hurt(felt like he was about to break my nose) then he turns the screws on this thing that is connected to my ears,nose and so on lol. I really started to get nervous.Then finally ahhhhhhhhhhhh he takes it off and I say BOY IT ALMOST FELT LIKE I WAS IN THE MOVIE SAW1,2,AND 3 and he laughs his butt of so did I. Then he takes my pictures and stuff up against a wall side shots and front shot lol. So I also asked him"Hey Dr. Koslyn do I have a under bite or overbite?He says that you have a under bite and the reason why it doesn't look so bad is because my braces are holding it together lol. So we are now done and I also ask WILL I HAVE TO WEAR A SPLINT AND HE SAID YES I'M LIKE O NO I HAVE HEARD THE STORIES ABOUT THEM THINGS,MAY I WILL HAVE TO WEAR IT 3-6WEEKS WE WILL HAVE TO SEE HE SAYS. Other than that my FINAL CONSULT WITH HIM IS ON 2/11/13 AND HE TOLD ME AT THAT TIME TO BRING ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS I WANT TO ASK AND TO ALSO HAVE A SECOND PAIR OF EARS TOO. So of course I have my big black book of questions to ask next month. At this point I'm still happy and ready for 2/13/13 to come on. Tomorrow 1/29/13 I go to my reg dentist to get my teeth cleaned. Then after that I'm on chill mode until Next month then we pick up the speed. Night bloggers......

Hello Bloggers... Today I went ahead and bought all my foods and protein Drinks that I think I will need.Next week the Jaw party really starts lol.Monday 1/28/13 I will meet with my Oral Surgeon he will do my models.1/29/13 I meet with my reg. dentist and get my teeth cleaned yayyy.At this point I'm kind of excited and a inch of being nervous. I am still reading other peoples blogs and stories about thier jaw surgery experience and looking at others photos is very uplifting to me.Well until next time bloggers........

I thought that this was my last Ortho Appt!!! 2/18/13

Well I thought yesterday was going to be the last day that I saw my ortho Dr until after surgery but I was wrong. I will meet again with him for one last time so that he can put my hooks on my teeth for my surgery this will be done on 2/1/13. I am now 24 days away from surgery and I cant not wait for it  to get here. I'm looking forward to being off from work too lol. I'm still taking my vitamins (yayy me). I think the next thing that I will do is write down my list of concerns and questions for my oral surgeon and ask them when I go in on 1/28/13 to do my models. Then I meet back with my oral surgeon again for my final consult on 2/11/13. So in the mean time I'm just working and counting down the days!!!!

So I had my hubby take some pics of me. My face looks so puffy as if the swelling is going down and I havent even had surgery yet. I really need to loose weight. Other than that I notice when I smile it looks off like my lips look crooked or is it me?? My hubby said I look fine. I now have 30 days lft until my surgery Im still very much happy and excited . So far. I have my hospital bags packed I bought my Warm mist humidifier over the weekend. Im getting ready,last but not least nxt month I will start buying my soups and protein drinks. Im still taking my vitamins!!!! Good night Bloggers

 

Vitamins GOT TO GET IT IN!!!!

So I got to thinking to myself today .I better start taking something to strengthen my bones, teeth, and nerves. In hopes that this will make my recovery quicker and better right? Lets hope so. The more I read other's blogs and talk to people who have had this surgery I learn more. Im excited and Im so ready to meet with my oral surgeon on January 28th to do my models. I also need to discuss with him about this 10day return to work. I don't see that happening. So hopefully he will let me off for a month!!!! Lata bloggers

 

Ortho Visit Today 1/4/13 AND PICS

Today I went to My ORTHO appt he tighten my bottom wires and it hurt so bad it sucks. Dr. Thacker would like to see me again in 2 weeks to put on my surgical wires for my Jaw surgery I sure am not looking forward to that at I hope that does not hurt lol. I go bk to him on 1/18/13 for that then I meet with my oral surgeon on 1/28/13 for him to do a model of my mouth I am so looking forward to this lol. So I also found out today that my surgery will be on 2/13/13 instead of 2/14/13 thats fine with me. I have already packed my bags for the hospital and for my stay at my moms house seeing that I will stay with her for a couple of days until my husband is off from work then I will go back home. Well the next thing for me to do is to find some vitamins and start looking for soups and other food ideas to eat for awhile lol.
